Confirmation Day
Sunday 6th March, Bishop Lee visited the Parish to administer the Sacrament of Confirmation to 18 boys and girls, from 6th class. The work , the boys and girls had put in, in order to prepare for this important occasion in their lives with class teacher, Ms Harrington assisted by Fr Kiely PP , was clearly evident in a lovely prayerful celebration of the Sacrament.

St Patrick’s Day Parade
Thursday 17th March saw a very vibrant and colourful Parade organised in Dungarvan with many entrants from Cappoquin including a very colourful entrant from Melleray.

Tidy Towns Association
The initial meeting attracted a large crowd, with officers elected and all present elected onto committee. All are willing to make an effort to help make Cappoquin a tidy and pleasant town.

Fun & Folly Festival
There will be a weekend event centred in the Town of Cappoquin on 10th – 12th June 2005. The aim is to promote Cappoquin in a positive manner for the benefit of the people in the local area. A preparatory group has met and pooled ideas centred around sports ‘events, local food producers, local musicians, cultural events and the river.
