Monday to Friday 8-30am—10pm,
Saturday 9am---5pm with reduced rates for students on Saturdays & evenings before 6pm.

Cappoquin Community Centre gym is the only gym along with Kingfisher in Waterford approved for the GP referral scheme. This is run by our own qualified gym Instructor: Conor Prendergast.
Gym Instruction available free of charge, on Saturday mornings and on one week night.
Open Daily through Lunch Hour & Free Parking .
Following extensive research Cappoqun Gym has the very best in cardiovascular and strength equipment. There are Life Fitness' treadmills. Within the gym, there is an extensive range equipment. This range is guaranteed to work every muscle group in the body, including back extension and abdominal pieces. Our strength area also houses a very large range of free weights. In total the gym accommodates many pieces of equipment, which will ensure no waiting time during busy periods.
It is compulsory to receive a fitness induction before using the gym for the first time. Fitness assessments and reassessments are provided for members every 4 - 6 weeks. An instructor will talk to you about your fitness goals, and how to achieve them. The Fitness Instructor will then design a specific programme for you to help obtain your goals.
On offer in the gym, are a large range of programmes available such as personal training, Healthy for Life (55+), & gym challenges . With all this on offer you are sure to find a fitness programme to suit your needs at Cappoquin Community Centre Gym.
Within the gym we have a fully trained instructor on duty twice a week, who is more than willing to advise on all aspects of training and healthy living. The gym has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere combined with state of the art equipment, which together makes it a motivating and enjoyable place to train.

Circuit training is a form of conditioning combining resistance training and high-intensity aerobics. It is designed to be easy to follow and target strength building as well as muscular endurance. An exercise "circuit" is one completion of all prescribed exercises in the program. When one circuit is complete, one begins the first exercise again for another circuit. Traditionally, the time between exercises in circuit training is short, often with rapid movement to the next exercise.
Circuit training is an excellent way to improve mobility, strength and stamina. The circuit training comprises of 6 to 10 strength exercises that are completed one exercise after another. Each exercise is performed for a specified number of repetitions or for a set time before moving on to the next exercise. The exercises within each circuit are separated by a short rest period, and each circuit is separated by a longer rest period.
Circuit Training in Cappoquin Community Centre is back for 2012 : Tuesday 8---9pm
Thursday : 7-8pm. Pay as you go : €5 per session. The perfect way to increased mobility , strength & Stamina performance. This is also the most effective means of fitness and energy gain. The class is delivered by : Conor Prendergast: 087/1247025.

Circus Showtime Coming to Cappoquin Community Centre:
Circus Showtime will make it's first ever visit to Cappoquin Community Centre on Sat 10th Dec for one show only at 4pm.
Don't miss this award winning circus with something to suit all ages including; Clowns, acrobatics, magic, aerial hoop, trapeze, exotic birds, illusions, aerial rope, contortionist, snakes from India and Africa and much more!
Tickets can only be purchased at venue on day of event so come early to avoid disappointment.
Look out for discount vouchers in local schools and shops. Also free tickets will be raffled in local schools! Admission €8.
Chiristmas Lights in Cappoquin Town: A church Gate collection was held Last weekend at masses in Cappoquin. The total takings were €497.Thanking all community who subscribed .
Tickets will be sold locally for A Christmas Cake raffle in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
Thanking Mary Coughlan, Lincoln’s Shop who donated the cake and Andree Cunningham, Ballyhane who iced the cake. It is wonderful to experience such community spirit.

Cappoquin Childcare Facility:
Meeting :of Pre-School , Creche & Afterschools Parents to be held on Wednesday 26th October, in Community Centre. Refreshments served.
This meeting aswell as being informative will be a bonding session between, Staff, Parents and Management.
Pre-School bookings for September 2012 are being taken, with morning sessions almost booked up, please book, 058/52746.
Pre-School will be closed on Friday 28th October due to staff training, mid term break will take place next week and pre-school will reopen on Monday 7th November, 9am.
Needlework Classes:
Learn to Sew
In the beforetime, all young ladies with rich parents learned to sew as a matter of course. Along with smiling, and admiring kittens, it was an essential accomplishment for the girl who needed to find herself a husband. If this goes on, future generations will staple, use the stapler rather than darn and the needle .
Despite its fine history, the skill of sewing has returned, you can help stop this doomsday scenario by taking a course at Cappoquin Community Centre, on Thursdays, 7pm.
There are various types of sewing - you can choose to learn how to run up a pair of curtains or go the whole hog and learn how make your own clothes or simply some simple mending, €7 per class. One of the popular evening options is this needlework class at Cappoquin, bookings taken: 058/52746.
VOLLEY BALL: Monday 9---10pm----with a view to setting up a volleyball club in Cappoquin. New Members welcome, €5 per individual per night, joins up and become part of a very challenging game.

Despite its fine history, the skill of sewing has returned, you can help stop this doomsday scenario by taking a course at Cappoquin Community Centre, on Thursdays, 7pm.
There are various types of sewing - you can choose to learn how to run up a pair of curtains or go the whole hog and learn how make your own clothes or simply some simple mending, €7 per class. One of the popular evening options is this needlework class at Cappoquin, bookings taken: 058/52746.

Volleyball Coaching in Cappoquin |
Volleyball: Saturday 1st of October, Cappoquin Community Centre—6.30pm---9pm. This session will be coached by Laurent Cauet of the ROI Volleyball Squads and with an aim to promote the sport of volleyball in Cappoquin and an aim to setting up such a Development team based in Cappoquin. Laurent will be spending his week-end conducting sessions in Mallow, Cappoquin and Dungarvan, as outlined below:
1st October 11am-4pm coaching JUNIOR at Mallow
1st October 6.30pm-9pm coaching SENIOR (any level or junior over 16) at Cappoquin
Guitar Lessons for Children: Guitar classes from beginners to intermediate level. All students learn guitar, rhythm and the love of music in a fun and enjoyable way. Teacher has over 10 years of experience teaching guitar. €10 per hour per student. 7.30 to 8.30 on Thursdays.
